Congofornia represent the sonic fusion between two songwriters with different origins: Bixas Liberatore from the Congo, and David James Hoffman, California. From here the name Congofornia.David is known around the world for his orchestra Yampapaya tribe,while Bixas collaborated for years with Papa Wemba and other big names between Africa and Europe. Bixas has already participated in Yampapaya's live shows and in yampapaya's album Five. In this project they present an acoustic and electric set, proposing their own songs in different languages english, lingala and swahili. Using Bixas's words " there is only one god in music, unifying races and cultures".
